My biggest cycling achievement was winning Elite Madison Nationals in 2004 with my then teammate Brad Huff. We were outgunned that day, but we lapped the field solo when they were all looking at each other. They were racing not to lose, but we were racing to win. But before that, I began racing in 2000 while attending Texas A&M University. There I was an officer on the cycling team a few years and promoted races here and there as well and then I finally ended up graduating with a degree in Industrial Engineering. After school, I met my wife in 2008 and introduced her to racing. Being her coach I am really proud of her progressing to the point where she races on theĀ NRCĀ circuit as well. It is great that we get to be at a lot of the same races to cheer and console each other in person. My interests off the bike are sailboat racing and gaming on my PS3. I also feel lucky to have received great support from other cyclists growing up and am proud to help young riders as much as possible to help them mature and pursue their passion in cycling.
