Summertime racing in Texas

One of the downsides to racing out of Texas is that there is barely any racing going on once summer hits and it gets “too hot”. Fortunately, there was a small mountainbike race here in Dallas last weekend and I so I finally got to race an off road race again. It has been way too long as usually we are on the road all the time and a very busy schedule so I couldn’t pass this one up. Even though it was just a smaller local race it was still a lot of fun and it felt really good to get all covered in dust for a chance again 😉 Maybe I should have pre rode the course and would not have “staggered” around the first lap that bad but it was still a blast and a great way to spend a hot summer sunday in Texas.
